Twitter’s Turn To Join The TikTok Deal
After Microsoft, it was Twitter’s turn to discuss merging with TikTok.
The Wall Street Journal report said Twitter had preliminary discussions about “merging” with TikTok, making the social networking platform the newest partner for the popular video-sharing app. However, the WSJ report also said, it is not clear whether Twitter intends to pursue the acquisition of TikTok and any such deal could face major hurdles.
The biggest challenge for any deal with TikTok is the Trump administration’s decision on August 6, blocking the processing of transactions from ByteDance, TikTok’s parent company, across the United States. The decision will take effect within the next 45 days.
