In modern times, there are also a number of people who claim to have discovered the secret to achieving this, notably the strange research of an American scientist.
The Royal Fraternity of Master Metaphysicians
James Bernard Schafer was born in 1896 in Fargo, North Dakota, USA, enjoyed a good education, had a medical doctor’s degree. However, in life, he had a lot of scandals for being a member of the Ku Klux Klan (3K party, with extreme, racist views) and passionate about the mystical supernatural field.
In the 1920s, Schafer founded an organization called the Royal Fraternity of Master Metaphysicians, with the somewhat confusing purpose of doing “fun work, helping others to help themselves”.
However, the organization was actually more of a cult, and with this activity, Schafer plunged into the strange, mystical realm that culminated in the quest to create an immortal child.
At the time, Schafer claimed to be the “Messenger” and made several claims about his supernatural powers, such as reading someone else’s mind, healing or “de-materializing” any object or person he chose.
