Facebook Should Be ‘Disbanded’

The president of the Big Tech Hearing on July 29 said that Mark Zuckerberg’s testimony proves Facebook’s monopolistic behavior and should be broken down.

Mr. David Cicilline, Chairman of the US House Antitrust Subcommittee, was interviewed shortly after the hearing. On Axios, he commented that Facebook clearly shows a row of anticompetitive behavior. According to him, the acquisition of Instagram and WhatsApp is a way for Zuckerberg to control his rivals.

“As a result, he maintains and expands market dominance. This is the classic behavior of a monopolist,” Mr. Cicilline said.

A series of emails and internal Facebook messages were announced during a hearing on July 29 to prove the social network’s anticompetitive behavior when it bought Instagram and WhatsApp. Legislators revealed several emails and chat history, showing the thinking and thinking of Zuckerberg and his colleagues.
