Facebook, Google, Microsoft Support The Fight For International Students In The U.S.
The new petition filed in court with the top technology companies wrote: ‘America’s future competitiveness depends on attracting and retaining talented international students.’
Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Spotify, PayPal and more than a dozen other technology companies have filed in court to support Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). These universities are currently facing the courts to protest the international student’s visa termination policy if they only study online.
The top technology group believes that the ban will “cause significant harm” to their operations, especially in the long run, when the customer base is shrinking, and the ability to recruit talented people from U.S. universities is limited.
New rules issued by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will force international students to study in the United States to return home if their entire university classes are held online by the year. New school in the fall of this year.
