The latest research from scientists shows that the complex geological activities of the three tectonic plates around Africa, which are moving farther apart, will split the continent into two parts and create A new ocean in millions of years. To date, the clearest evidence of Africa’s separation is a 35-mile crack in the Ethiopian desert.
